Today, Chefs' Cookery Club is going to make egg roti that everyone in Sri Lanka loves to eat. Since everyone is used to buying these from the shop, no one thinks to make them at home. But it is often difficult to give egg roti to little children. It's not easy for them to get a little sick.
Today we are going to teach you how to make egg roti that tastes better than going to the store, going out and saving all the money spent on buying egg roti.
Knead the dough to make egg roti and leave it for at least 4 hours. Only then will the roti be nice and thin without breaking. So if you eat egg roti at night, you need to knead the dough in the evening. If you eat breakfast, you can knead the dough the night before. The flour mixture can be kept for up to 12 hours. The longer the roti, the more flexible and smooth the roti. The kneading process takes only 10 minutes.
When you are done making it, you will get a lot of mouth-watering, fragrant egg bread.
Make homemade egg bread hot and serve it to your family. The egg yolks are so delicious that the onions, green peppers, onion leaves and salt and pepper are well combined. In a large bowl, add flour, 1/2 teaspoon of salt, and a tablespoon of oil
Knead the flour mixture by adding a small amount of water at a time
Knead well for about 2 minutes to get a non-stick dough
Roll the dough ball lengthwise and break it into 4 parts
Roll 4 parts of flour well
Put oil in a small bowl and dip the flour balls in it
Cover the ball well and set aside for 4 hours
Heat a large plate or pan
Take a ball of flour dipped in oil and place it on a plate and roll it well to form a thin loaf
Now place the thinly sliced bread on the plate
Beat an egg in the middle of the bread
Put salt, pepper and chopped onion, chilli and onion leaves on it
Now fold the four sides of the loaf into the center of the loaf as a box
Now turn the folded part over to the heated side of the pan and bake until tender
